TruckProtect Star In Dubai Automechanika Show
Dubai – key international aftermarket opportunity.
SMMT International returned this week from leading a group of ten UK companies who exhibited together as a UK pavilion at Automechanika Middle East in Dubai. This trade-only show attracted 18,000 visitors from 127 countries, an increase of 24% over last year. In visitor terms this now makes Automechanika Dubai the second largest Automechanika event after Frankfurt. Dubai is a trader/distributor nation with little
indigenous manufacturing so only 99 exhibitors were UAE local companies, of whom only two were local manufacturers. The remaining 842 exhibitors came from all across the
world. UK exhibitors benefited from SMMT International having secured grants from UKTI of £1,400 each to attend the event.This covered more than 50% of their total exhibition,
travel and accommodation cost as arranged by SMMT International. SMMT members were very positive about their experiences from
the show.
